BRIEF ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival Hanoi. Airport Pick Up.
Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi. Airport Pick Up.
Upon arrival Noi Bai International airport, you are welcomed by tour guide and car driver of Indochina Leisure Travel then they will transfer you to your hotel in city centre. 2.00pm Check in and stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)
This morning, you leave Hanoi for Halong Bay (the World Natural Heritage site) via the Red River Delta. After 3.5 hours driving, arrival at Halong Pier, you check out the junk cruise while lunch is served. You will cruise passing through the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons teeth. After lunch, you take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. In the late afternoon, you visit an interesting fishing village with an opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. At sunset, you do kayaking or simply take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board, enjoy watching the peaceful sunset and later unwind at a restaurant. You will stay overnight onboard.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise - Hanoi. (B, L)
This early morning, after waken up by the sounds of waves and birds welcoming the new day, you will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit a beautiful limestone grotto. You will have one more time take a walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock. Check out the junk and get on car to return to Hanoi. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi City Tour.  (B, L)
08.00: Our driver & guide will pick you up at your hotel to start the trip.
The post-colonial capital city of Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, numerous lakes, pagodas and temples. This full day tour takes you around Hanoi s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex, Ho Chi Minh s Mausoleum and his Stilt House, the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby. Also on the tour will be the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, and one of the city s museums, either the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum. You will stay overnight in Hanoi after water puppet show performance and 1 hour cyclo ride around the Hanoi Old Quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Mai Chau. (B, L)
You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7.30am. We drive about 4 hours to reach to Mai Chau. You enjoy the scenery along the way see the interesting churches, pagodas and villages. At noon arrive Thai’s village. Have lunch on the stilt-house. Take a short walk around the Thai villages to take picture of Mai Chau valley, hike across a gorgeous valley passing through paddy fields and minority villages and relaxing at Ban Lac village. In the evening, you’ll enjoy “ruou can” (traditional alcohol) with local families.
Dinner and overnight at the house on stilts (or at the hotel).

Day 6: Mai Chau - Hanoi (B, L)
The early morning is the most peaceful time to walk around the villages. See women prepare foods on the wooden fire while the sun is rising over the beautiful mountains.
Breakfast then walk to Mai Chau market and climb to “1000 Step Cave”. The cave is breathtaking and so is the view of the area from the entrance of the cave.
Have lunch in the village before getting on the car back to Hanoi.
Around 17:00 arrive Hanoi. Finish tour at your hotel in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Airport transfer. Departure Hanoi. (B)
This is the last day of Vietnam Trip, our guide and driver will come to your hotel in Hanoi and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Trip ends at Noi Bai International Airport. Thank you for traveling with Indochina Leisure. Good bye and See you again!
